Abstract
The song, Caught a Vision of You, was originally composed by Robert Kowtko and Greg Pichler in 1987. In 1987 the song was then titled, Pictures of You. However, in 1999 Pichler overhaul the song, Pictures of You, keeping the main verse, while dropping some of the original passages. Pichler also added an entirely new chorus. In 1999 Pichler also effected a number of minor changes to the lyrics and titled the Song to Caught A Vision Of You.

The Progressive Shamanists has released a new version of the song, Caught a Vision of You.

Background

The song, Caught a Vision of You, was originally composed by Robert Kowtko and Greg Pichler in 1986. In 1986 the song was then titled, Picture of You. What the song is about

The song is about a man, a photographer, who fantasizes about a woman, who he had previously taken photographs of during a studio photo session, while driving his automobile. As the man becomes more enamored with the thoughts of the woman in the photographs, he carelessly loses control of his vehicle and drives off the road. In critical condition the man is taken to a hospital in an ambulance. The police, Joe Friday and Frank Smith, played by Jack Webb and Ben Alexander respectively, later arrive at the scene to interrogate the witnesses to the accident.
