Background

Greg Pichler wrote the song, Love Gave Me The Answers, on March 27, 1982, in advance of a performance at the German House scheduled for April 2, 1982 or thereabouts. The German House was at the time located at 112 Warren Square in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. After the concert at the German House, the other musicians in the group, Robert Prigge and Robert Kowtko, refused to ever perform the song again, finding the song too difficult to commit to memory and play.

What the song is about

The song, Love Gave Me The Answers, is based on the life of first year Lehigh University student, Andrew Silverman, who inadvertantly crashed a Toyata Supra his father had gifted him on Fourth Avenue in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania the first day he took possession of the car. At the time of the crash the odometer on the car reportedly read the car as having been driven 4 miles.
